This system works in parallel with your stock oil filter to remove the smaller oil contaminants that the stock oil filter misses. Kit contains every part needed for a complete install with the exception of engine oil.

Kit includes:

1. Computer-machined aluminum bypass filter base "Double Clamp" clamps to the filter housing and bypass filter for extreme installation flexibility
2. Bypass filter cap equipped with 90 degree brass 1/4" compression fitting (except braided stainless steel return option). These are perfectly reusable and leak free, too.  
3. Amsoil EaBP90 bypass filter
4. High pressure, teflon-lined braided stainless steel oil feed line  
5. All hardware and fittings for high and low pressure oil lines

Three clean oil return methods are now available:

1. Replacement oil cap and Kynar clean oil return Fastest to install. The stock engine cover still fits if a clearance window is added with a Dremel tool or round file. A nice billet aluminum oil cap cover is also available.
2. Kynar with brass compression fitting valve cover return  Compression fittings are perfectly reusable and easily servicable. No modification of engine cover required.
3. Braided stainless steel valve cover return (pictured above)  Uses same exact line as feed line with 10mm banjo union on filter cap and -4 fitting at valve cover. No modification of engine cover required. This kit and braided stainless option can be used on the later 2004-2006 BEW engine if cylinder head is drilled and tapped for 1/8-27 FIP. A tap is provided with kit.

Kit benefits:

1. Oil change intervals can be extended thus saving expensive engine oil.*
2. Wear is reduced.
3. One extra quart of motor oil is kept by the bypass filter itself which keeps the engine temperature more stable.

* The exact length of your oil change interval should be based on used oil analysis.

This kit will not fit New Beetle with ALH engine unless you re route the low pressure A/C line which runs where the bypass filter is mounted.
