Don't replace that pump, reseal it!

housands of our customers have fixed their leaking TDI injector pump's quantity adjuster seals with this Bosch TDI injection pump seal kit. Kit includes seals to rebuild or reseal all 1996-2003 TDI injection pumps for the North American market*. This kit's top and lower rectangular quantity adjuster seals are made of Viton. The round green pump head seal in this kit is the less effective Buna rubber (bottom left in picture above, not Viton. If you plan on replacing your pump head seal we highly recommend you purchase the $9.00 Viton pump head o-ring seal kit available separately below. Replacement of the two rectangular quantity adjuster seals requires the Metalnerd MN3001 triangular socket which is also available below. To get an idea of how to replace the quantity adjuster seals without damaging your pump we recommend you read this thread on TDI Club!

if you plan on replacing the round head seal o-ring you should also buy the $9.00 Viton head seal kit shown below.

*Please note that the 17mm input shaft seal is not provided in this kit. The Bosch part number for this seal is 1 460 283 311 or 1 460 283 312 or 2 460 283 001. We do not sell this seal due to the highly technical nature of its replacement. Furthermore, there are only three seals in this kit you are likely to use. We do not have information regarding the locations and uses for the other seals in this kit.

Pump Seals WORK! July 17, 2015
Reviewer: F. MacFarlane from Clear Lake City, TX
Replaced the quantity adjuster and top seals on our 02 Beetle TDI, complete fix, 45 minute job.  No more seeping Diesel fuel!  Marked the relative locations of the adjuster cover and body with a carbide tipped scriber, injection quantity was spot on with no messing about needed!  Thanks Jim for the kit, and the videos.  You saved us a couple K$.

Very friendly customer service,
I had a question and I got an answer.
I followed every step in the video
and did the job myself.
You can do the job without removing the pump from the car !

Just what we needed February 7, 2015

The quantity adjuster kit and head seal were a perfect fit, the MetalNerd tool worked great. The 7 part video series was priceless. 3.5 hours start to finish, $53 in parts. Dealer wanted north of $2000 to replace pump. Reputable independent shop wanted over $1800 to replace. I told the indy about what I did and he is going to start recommending this procedure to his customers. Go DG!

My car started leaking fuel two weeks ago. I diagnosed it to be my IP on a Sunday. Ordered Bosch seal kit, Viton orings, and the Metalnerd socket that night from DG. Received the package Thursday, performed the task and fixed my pump Thursday afternoon. Fantastic service and information to do the job. Thank you for all you do Jim....I couldn't have done it with out you....!!!!!!

Keeping the 96 Passat TDI Alive March 4, 2014
Reviewer: Jeff from Prince Frederick, MD
Jim, I purchased this kit, special socket, and viton o-ring on a Monday and had the job done the following Saturday and drove over 600miles the next day.  Watched the videos and read the install guides.........made what seemed impossible job to replace the (3) most common leaky seals a 3 hour chore. The pump was leaking bad from the seal under the quantity adjuster and pump body.  Hey the vehicle has 320K miles-original injector pump and engine.

Would not even attemped this job without watching your YouTube video-you should have it linked to your site.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VR44StvcXms

THANK YOU-Great Job !!
