Stops TDI intake manifold clogging.

Stops intake manifold clogging!
Dieselgeek Race Pipe
Our Price: $120.00

Are you tired of intake manifold cleaning? The Dieselgeek Race Pipe increases air flow and eliminates intake manifold soot build up forever. The Race Pipe replaces the EGR valve on ALH engines used in mid-1999 through 2003 Golf and Jetta TDI and 1998-2003 New Beetle TDI.

Cooling hose reroute parts to eliminate EGR cooler from engine bay
EGR Cooler Delete Kit
Our Price: $39.00

This is a complete kit to remove the EGR cooler on a mid-1999 through 2006 Golf TDI, 1997-2005 Jetta TDI, 1998-2006 New Beetle TDI and the 1997 Passat TDI. This kit is for those using either the Dieselgeek Race Pipe above or the EGR Block Off Plate Kit below. It is only meant to get the EGR cooler out of the engine bay since it is not being used.

You don't need this kit if you are buying a Race Pipe.
EGR Block Off Plate Kit for TDI
Our Price: $39.00

This is a pair of 6061 Aluminum billet block off plates for the TDI engine. Kit includes two 1/4" thick block off plates and two OE style stainless steel gaskets and two copper locking nuts.

The Lowdown on TDI EGR systems and intake manifold clogging

TDI engines and especially those from 1996-2003 have EGR systems which tend to clog up intake manifolds within 20-30,000 miles of driving. If left alone, this clogging can get to the point that the engine is choked off from getting intake air. The fix is either to periodically remove the EGR valve and intake manifold to clean out the caked on soot or to block off the incoming EGR duct work so that the soot is never again ingested into the engine. If the EGR pathway is removed from the engine there is no way that the intake manifold can ever again get clogged with soot. We offer two different products to block off the EGR pathway: The Dieselgeek Race Pipe for the ALH engine only and the Block Off Plate Kit which can be used on any 4 cylinder TDI engine meant for the North American market.

The Race Pipe does away with the EGR valve altogether and increases airflow to the engine for a 3hp increase above 3000 RPM. It also includes a handy boost port nipple in case you want to add a boost gauge either now or at a later time. The Race Pipe looks nice in the engine bay, too. The Block Off Plate Kit also eliminates EGR flow by providing a pair of aluminum plates to block off two EGR ports supplying EGR gasses to the intake manifold. It reuses the stock EGR valve if you want to retain the EGR valve's air shut off butterfly plate which some call the ASV or anti shudder valve. EGR valves tend to go bad after a high mileage has been reached. They leak oil from weep holes cast into the sides. The only fix for a bad EGR valve is to replace it with another new and expensive EGR valve or to put on a Race Pipe.
