Deluxe 15 piece timing belt kit for 2.0 liter VW Common Rail diesel engines found only in the American made 2012, 2013, and 2014 Passat TDI from. This CKRA-only timing kit includes every part needed to quickly get the job done right! If you are planning a DIY replacement consider the specialty tool set sold separately. <LINK> Truly Peace of Mind in a box!

Why our kit is better:

  • We buy our timing belts, serpentine belts, rollers, and tensioners directly from the OE manufacturers so we have the "freshest" stock with the least amount of handling.
  • You save at least an hour of your time when using our Pro Method to change the timing belt.
  • We offer proven water pumps with a steel impeller that will never separate from the shaft like plastic impeller pumps.
  • We've been selling timing kits since 2001 and our finely honed packaging system gets the parts to you in flawless shape.
  • We only supply the INA brand tensioner and idler rollers, not the cheaper and lower quality SKF parts found in our competitor's kits.
  • All of the hardware included with this kit is OE direct from the VW dealer. No substitutions are made.

Pro Method of servicing timing belt: We do not supply engine mount bolts with this timing kit since, like professional installers, you can easily change all of the timing parts without removing the engine mount. Doing the belt change without removing the mount is much simpler, faster and less risky for you or your mechanic (if they are not aware of the method). The secret trick is to remove the tensioner stud along with the tensioner. Check out the Pro Method video below for details. We provide a new stud and nut with this kit since you might damage the threads of the old stud upon removal.

Amazing kit with expert video instruction

Thank you Dieselgeek for getting my car up and running quickly!

Parts shipped to me the day after Christmas. The package was efficiently packed with all the right parts needed to get my leaking water pump replaced + timing belt.

Also ordered the special timing belt tool kit, triple square socket, and cap/plug set. All tools we well-designed for the job and easy to work with.

Loved the promethod of swapping the tensioner with the motor mount still attached -- well done on sharing this with us.

Funny Story -- I had a cracked black plastic piece on my cam pulley which scared me when I found 20 pieces of it inside the timing cover area. I paused the video rolled over to my neighbor who used to work for VW and asked him -- he agreed that it was likely not functionally needed to get the car up and running. I went back home and pushed play on the video and was immediately informed that the cracked plastic part could go into the 'round file' (aka trash can). Thanks for covering that in the video to confirm!!!

Only a fool would pass on this kit.

VW quoted me close to $1200 in parts alone and rates to diagnose and repair would’ve put this job well over $2000. These guys save me a ton. I’m not mechanically inclined in the least.. But, Their instructional video was spot on for my 2013 Passat TDI. Top notch quality parts, and the tool kit was priceless. Easily could’ve be a 2-4 hour job. I had to go slow out of an abundance of caution as this was my dream car and I was unsure of my skills. Give them your business and they will not disappoint. Fast shipping too! Thanks Dieselgeek!

CKRA everything needed and great instructions

I have used dieselgeek parts for many different VW diesel applications. The kits are always complete and the instructions they're now giving are a great guide. I've always been a satisfied customer. Recently I purchased a timing belt kit for my 2013 Passat 2.0 and again, everything was top shelf and the instruction videos you give access to can't be beat. A couple hours work and I'm good for another 100k miles.

Thanks Jerry -

Stepping up the video game has been a lot of work but also a very rewarding endeavor

Second kit bought here 250,000 miles strong!

I just bought the same kit I installed at 120,000 miles. I was a dummy last time and didn’t do the cam seal, it ended up leaking a year later, so I had to take it all apart again. This time the kit did not come with the cam seal so I am getting one locally. All the parts seamed to wear better than the OEM (original water pump failed but this one still feels good) the tensioner is a little rough sounding BUT it was a Litens part last time, this time they sent an INA tensioner. All in all, I would buy again, here’s to seeing y’all at 370,000 miles!
