This is a mildly hopped up German made LUK brand clutch kit with matching brand new Dual Mass Flywheel for factory super smoothness (DMF). This kit was specifically designed by LUK for the 1.9L TDI. As you may have heard, the LUK dual mass clutches from the 1998 and 1999 MK4 TDI were known as the "Good ones" amongst in-the-know TDI drivers.  The LUK DMF flywheels have been very durable as opposed to the Sachs DMF that came in the 2000 and later TDI cars. This LUK clutch kit even has some improvements over the factory LUK clutch.

Features:

* Clutch and flywheel are factory pre assembled and ready to bolt on as-is, a real time saver!

* Clamp load of pressure plate has been increased conservatively by 5% over the OE version

* Clutch disc hub is the"floating" type to eliminate possibility of misalignment with input shaft of transmission

* Friction material is OE type but the increased disc size means it has greater resistance to slipping

* Maintains stock smoothness, quietness and easy going stock pedal feel but has greater holding power. This is the smoothest and quietest replacement for failing TDI clutches!

* This clutch is rated for 270 foot pounds of torque. This will cover any stock TDI or any modified car with a power chip and larger injectors or a chip with a bigger injection pump. This covers 98% of all TDI drivers. This clutch was not meant for highly modified cars with bigger turbos and all other mods that go with a bigger turbo.
