Why our kit is better:

  • We buy our timing belts, serpentine belts, rollers, and tensioners directly from the OE manufacturers so we have the freshest stock with the least amount of handling and storage.
  • We only offer Tier 1 OE supplier brand parts in our kits. Zero aftermarket SKF or GMB rollers or tensioners for complete peace of mind.
  • We buy all of the engine mount bolts from the VW dealer. No cheap substitutions are made.
  • We only offer proven Hepu brand water pumps with steel impellers that will never separate from the shaft like plastic impeller pumps.
  • Our team has been selling this timing kit since 2001 and our finely honed packaging system means the parts are delivered to you in perfect condition.

    Beautiful Kit

First TB for MK4, this kit rocked. Now I need to buy IP bolts :P

    Thanks Mike -

FWIW only the 1998-2000 year model ALHs used single use injection pump sprocket bolts. 2001-2003 ALH use an updated bolt which is suitable for re-use. The replacement bolts are all the updated type. We dropped the bolts from the from the kit when we weren't seeing them come in with the original bolts any more. -tyler

    Water Pump Removal

This is the third timing belt installed on the 2000 Jetta. I never had any problems until this time. I couldn't get the water pump out. The kit comes with 3 bolts just for this problem and they worked very well and I didn't have to try anything else.

I only use Dieselgeek deluxe TB kits

My 2003 Golf, purchased new, currently has 805k miles on it (I drive a lot). Currently on its 6th Dieselgeek timing belt and will be due for the next one in about 30k miles. I've only had two bad experiences and both were with TBs from other sources. 1) I let my mechanic source his own parts and the water pump failed after only 30k miles. 2) That happened less than a mile from a VW dealership, and I let them go ahead and work on it. Shortly after a substandard roller/idler failed and destroyed the TB and I had to get a rebuilt cylinder head installed.

So no more TB kits from anyone except Dieselgeek for me.

Great Product! Have to pay to get the most important part of the instructions.

Great kit, very complete pretty much the only thing you need is a timing tools kit and antifreeze! Parts are all very high quality, and I'm confident my TDI is going to go 100k miles before I have to think about the timing belt again!

Only down side is the linked "instructions" only give you 2/3rds of what you need to get the job done, and you have to sign up for a forum and pay $10 to become a premium member to get the most important part!! The only saving grace is that the torque specs are in the part description above. That's the only reason it loose one star.
